When things get crazy you have to trust and believe you get what you need not what you want. Whether in faith or recovery, you have to have faith. What is faith? The Bible says faith is the assurance of things hoped for and the conviction of things unseen. What are you hoping in? In AA you are hoping in your higher power. In faith, you are hoping on a sp[ritual idea. Christians hope in Jesus, Christians believe there is saving merit in believing on Jesus for forgiveness and eternal life. Ie Faith is the key.

Living is about faith. And faith is the key to the saying you get what you need not what you want. You have to choose to trust that the Lord will order your ways so you get what you need. This allows you to not be in bondage to your flawed wanting drive. We often want what is bad for us. We need to trust this Savior will pick wisely and for our ultimate good. Life tests this trust often. To Jesus, this trust is of the highest value.

Getting sober I hung onto that mantra. It served me well. I went from desperation to faith to trust. Jesus brought me home with that prayer. Jesus rules the affairs of men and the spiritual realms. My next podcast will be about this. We are slowed. We got moved out of our house by the discovery of mold and we rented space for a few months.
