In my last podcast, I talked about the words good and bad. There is no firm definition of good and bad in our current culture.
At the junction of Faith and recovery, this issue of good and bad is key to understanding the differences between faith and recovery. I would say that there is little disagreement between the more liberal churches and the secular recovery programs. So it is not surprising you will find AA and NA in these liberal churches. Conservative churches will have their own brand of recovery like CR. CR is Christianized recovery. The difference is where both groups set the boundaries of good versus not good.

Jesus Saves! The Holy Spirit calls gently and tenderly!
I have a news flash for the faith folks! The folks you want to help are mostly bogged in this mire between the two places.
AA troops, is it a crime for a newcomer to talk about coming to Jesus in an AA meeting if that would help them because someone else is having issues with even the name? Just explain the difference between sharing your truth in the group and prioritizing.
My point is that innocent suffers are caught between two camps. Let’s not hurt the innocents.
I will talk about this in the next podcast!
