If you go to a foreign country you hear different languages. In both faith and recovery you are at the junction of completely different languages. AA talks one way, NA the same, but different. CR is really different. Recovery reminds me of the Star Wars bar room scene. We are all gathered together by disparate needs. But mostly we don’t talk the same language. My job is to be a translator between the factions. A lot about what this blog is about is translating between recovery languages.
CR’s Hurt, Habit, or Hang up is not AA’s our primary purpose. AA’s suggestion gives CR’s heart burn. AA’s power greater than ours selves drives CR crazy. I will talk alot about this lost in translation thing is Recovery Circles. Thanks Chuck.
