Blog notes 7-16-21
Recovery point: One day at a time. You do recovery one day at a time. One moment at a time if necessary. Sometimes all we have is a moment that we need to bare. But really all we do have is now. The past is gone. Only experience remains to be carefully mined for lessons. Tomorrow is not yet and not worth projecting over. Today is the fist fight. Now is the battle. The devil does not bother to broadcast yesterday. He only broadcasts on right now. Because now is all we have. Now is almost too late to lay the groundwork of prayer. Now is time for a hasty flare for help. My greatest shortcomings come from misuse of now. Now is when I medicate myself with numbing agents. Now is when I mouth off with no thought. Now is when I cut with temper.
Faith point: Can I believe a higher power is Lord of the now for and with me? Can I reach out now for help? Do I believe God’s response time is now? Do I believe God is King of now? Can God change my now defeats into His now victories?
Jesus Point: Jesus is yesterday, today, and forever tomorrows. Ask Him and he will prove himself complete Lord of yesterday, today and tomorrow. I dare you to ask him to prove he is that everything.
